In 2008 the Killoran began purchasing shadows from willing participants. ''Shattenhändler'' or the German Shadow Merchant, refers to the series of sculptures and activities that mark the artist’s process of amassing an inventory of shadows.

Dimensions variable, Neoprene rubber, human shadow, signed contract, glue, metal, plastic. Part of an ongoing project where the artist trades in human shadows. The portfolio contains a contract transferring ownership of Mr. Romeo’s shadow to Mr. Killoran. A silhouette, based on an image of the seller’s shadow at the moment of purchase is cut from a continuous strip of rubber that folds into the portfolio containing the contract of sale.
