Modified portable toilet. An existing portable toilet is fitted with special walls and doors that allow the occupant to see out but the public cannot see in. The toilet is functional.

View from inside the outhouse. The walls appear transparent and allow the user to contemplate the world outside. The outhouse was commisioned and exhibited at Sculpture Center in 2002.  In 2022, it was installed at OSMOS Station, in Stamford NewYork.
